Fly Fishing for Trout

Fly fishing for trout is the most common method for taking
trout on streams.  The reason for this is simple.  You can
present flies more naturally with a fly rod than any other
type of fishing equipment.  Fly fishermen have the
advantage of making very long casts and presenting
many types of flies completely natural.

Fly fishermen spook less fish because of the long casts and they catch more fish because of their natural-looking presentations.

Fly fishing is challenging so don’t expect to be a good fly fishermen without practicing.  Fishermen need to learn how to use the fly rod, but just as
importantly, learn all about the different types of flies that work for each species of trout during specific times of the year.  Many experienced trout
fishermen spend years learning all about their craft and it can pay huge dividends.  Let’s start to learn about the different types of flies than can be used
to catch all the different species of stream trout.
