Large boulders, trees and brush provide some excellent cover for them during the spawn. After the spawn, rock bass will be in water from 8 to 20 feet deep. Rocky points, drop-offs, humps and deep weed lines will hold large schools of rock bass. If you can find them, they are still easy to catch. In the fall, they come into the shallows again, but not as shallow as during the spring spawn.
