the most popular type of chum bait for carp in North America. When chumming for carp, you want to make sure to throw enough corn out to keep them in your area, but not too much to overfeed them. Three or four handfuls every hour will usually be plenty. Some anglers get in a routine of chumming specific areas on specific lakes, rivers and ponds. If you consistently chum in the same spots, carp will begin hanging out in those areas. When you get carp accustomed to feeding in a specific area, you can get away with chumming less on days that you are fishing. One or two handfuls per hour should be plenty and this will give you a better chance of having a carp pick up your bait instead of the chum.
