Winnebago, Fond du Lac and Calumet.
The lake covers 85 miles of shoreline
and you can find plenty of lighthouses,
launch ramps, harbors, parks and restaurants around the water.
The lake is very popular for a variety of outdoor activities. There
is plenty of room on the lake for everyone.
Fishing
The fishing on Lake Winnebago is excellent. It is a large lake, but
it is not as overwhelming as some would think. During the spring
and fall, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, and walleye can be
found close to the shorelines. Once summer arrives, it takes a
little more time to find the fish, but once you find the pattern, it
won't take long to fill the live well. There are a variety of species
to fish for on Lake Winnebago. Walleye, smallmouth bass and
largemouth bass are the most sought after species, but you can
also catch muskie, northern pike, white bass, crappie, sunfish,
catfish, carp and drum.
