Vermilion is a city in Erie and Lorain counties in Ohio with a population around 10,000
people. This city is located about 24 miles east of Sandusky, Ohio on the shores of
Lake Erie and at the mouth of the Vermilion River. This port is popular among boaters
and fishermen. Lake Erie offers some excellent fishing for walleye, perch, smallmouth
bass and steelhead. The Vermilion River is stocked yearly with steelhead and these
fish return to the river to spawn.
