Middle Bass Island is an island that is located just north of South Bass Island and
Put-In Bay. This 805 acre island is shaped like the Big Dipper and it is surrounded by
Lake Erie. The population on this island is around 100 people, but there are over
1,000 people on the island throughout the summer. It is a nice vacation destination
and the fishing is excellent in this area for walleye, smallmouth bass and perch.
