The Thousand Islands are a group of over 1,700 islands that straddle the United
States - Canada border in the St. Lawrence River. The Canadian islands are in the
province of Ontario and the islands in the United States are located in the state of New
York. This area is a popular vacation destination for fishing, boating and camping.
Fishermen have many different species of fish to target such as northern pike, muskie,
smallmouth bass, walleye and others.
