Lake George is a long, narrow lake located at the southeast base of the Adirondack
Mountains in the northeastern part of New York. The lake is about 32 miles long and
the width varies from 1 to 3 miles. This lake is known as a summer resort town and
there are a few villages and towns located throughout Lake George. The fishing can
be very good for lake trout, landlocked salmon and smallmouth bass. Hiring a fishing
charter is recommended and there are quite a few fishing charters available to put you
on the best fishing spots.
