Keuka Lake is called the "Lady of the Lakes" because of its natural beauty. It is unique among the Finger Lakes in two ways: it is Y-shaped with a scenic bluff over seven hundred feet above lake level between the two branches of the Y, and it is the only Finger Lake that outlets into another Finger Lake, into Seneca Lake at Dresden.

The fishing is excellent for largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, lake trout, pickerel, and perch. These are the main species that anglers fish for on Keuka Lake. There is an overabundance of lake trout, lots of smallmouth bass and some huge perch to be caught here. Other species that can be caught on Keuka Lake are landlocked salmon, brown trout, rainbow trout, crappie, bluegill and northern pike.
