Yellowstone National Park was set aside as a national park on March 1, 1872. It is
located mostly in Wyoming, but it does extend into Montana and Idaho. The park
was the first of its kind, and is known for its wildlife and geothermal features such as
Old Faithful Geyser, one of the most popular areas in the park. If you are planning
to visit any of the nearby towns in Montana, you might want to set a day or two aside
for visiting Yellowstone Park. It is an amazing place to visit, especially if you enjoy
the outdoors.
