The St. Joseph River is about 210 miles long and it flows through
southern Michigan and northern Indiana. The river is very
popular among fishermen. Thousands of steelhead enter the St.
Joseph River every year. Because of the river's size and flow,
there are times that wading is impossible so fishing from a boat is
more popular. The river has plenty of deep pools and runs that
will hold steelhead and chinook salmon.
According to the Michigan DNR, the catch ratio on the St. Joseph
River is much higher than on other Michigan waters. The fishery
is excellent on the St. Joseph River and there are plenty of fishing
