The Ironwood, Michigan area offers anglers hundreds of lakes as well as miles of rivers
and streams in the Ottawa National Forest. With this much water, you can find many
places that you will have all to yourself. Many lakes will not have much fishing pressure
and no recreational boaters. In the area lakes, you can catch walleye, smallmouth
bass, largemouth bass, northern pike, muskie, crappie and panfish. Salmon and trout
are available in the streams that run into Lake Superior. You could also book a fishing
charter for Lake Superior. The fishing for salmon and trout is excellent on the big lake.
