These lakes are connected by Grassy Creek which extends upstream from the chain to
Ridinger Lake and downstream to
Lake Tippecanoe.  The lakes have a variety of fish,
but they are known mostly for their tremendous
muskie fishing.  The chain is stocked
heavily giving muskie fishermen a good chance of a hookup as well as a chance at
landing a trophy-sized fish.

The Barbee Chain of Lakes are composed of seven interconnected, natural lakes and
they are located just west of North Webster, Indiana. The seven lakes include Big
Barbee, Little Barbee, Banning, Irish, Kuhn, Sawmill and Sechrist.
