Braidwood Lake is owned by Commonwealth Edison and it is a partially perched,
cooling lake. The Department of Natural Resources acquired a long term lease
agreement from Commonwealth Edison which allows for general public access.
Braidwood Lake is used for fishing and hunting.
Braidwood lake is known most for its bass fishing. Most people target largemouth bass,
but you can also catch smallmouth bass, striped bass, walleye and catfish.
