Diamond Valley Lake is a Southern California’s lake that is built in the saddle of two
mountains. The lake is a lifeline for Southern California in times of drought. Diamond
Valley Lake holds enough water to meet the area’s emergency and drought needs for
up to six months.
The lake has become a popular fishing and boating destination for people living in
southern California. The lake gets very deep, making it suitable for a variety of warm
water and cold water species. Most anglers come here for a chance at landing a
monster largemouth bass over 10 pounds, although, there are plenty of other species
to fish for as well. Diamond Valley Lake has been stocked with largemouth bass,
smallmouth bass, channel catfish, blue catfish, trout and plenty of bait fish.
