Lyman Lake is a popular fishing and boating destination. Because of its size, Lyman Lake is one of the few bodies of water in northeastern Arizona that doesn't have size restrictions on boats. This is nice for pleasure boaters, but not for the fishermen once the weather warms. However, the west end of the lake is buoyed off and restricted as a no wake area. This works out well for fishermen because they can still fish without being annoyed by the speed boats. Lyman Lake offers some very good fishing opportunities for walleye, channel catfish and largemouth bass. For more information on the lake and the facilities, take a look at the Lyman Lake State Park website.
