Ninilchik is located on the Kenai Peninsula south of Kenai. This small town is a very
popular travel destination because of the variety it offers. The scenery and wildlife are
enough to get you to want to visit. Throw in the fishing and clams and you'll be hooked
for life. Ninilchik offers excellent salmon and trout fishing in 3 main areas. You have
the Cook Inlet, which offers excellent saltwater fishing for salmon and halibut. You also
have Ninilchik River and Deep Creek, which provide some very strong salmon runs
every year.
