Jordan Reservoir is a 6,800 acre Alabama Power Company hydroelectric
impoundment. It is located in central Alabama about twenty miles north of Montgomery.
Jordan is the southernmost impoundment of the Coosa River chain of lakes.  The lake
is very fertile producing high numbers of shad, which results in good numbers of
healthy game fish.  There are two public access areas on Jordan Reservoir as well as a
number of small marinas.

Fishing: Jordan Reservoir has a good mixture of largemouth bass and spotted bass.
The spotted bass grow quickly in the reservoir.

There are decent numbers of crappie, striped bass, white bass, and hybrid bass.  You
can catch channel catfish, blue catfish, and flathead catfish also.
