Lake Guntersville is located in north Alabama between Bridgeport and Guntersville.  It
is Alabama's largest lake, which contains 69,100 acres.  It covers 75 miles from
Nickajack Dam to Guntersville Dam.  The lake has numerous free boat ramps and
private marinas.  You can visit the lake for boating, fishing, camping, hunting or sight-
seeing.

Fishing:  Lake Guntersville is known for its Bass fishing.  Bass fishing is awesome on
this lake.  Most people that fish Guntersville target Largemouth Bass.  That goes for the
many tournament anglers each year as well.

With most of the attention geared towards bass fishing, there is some quality fishing
available for bream (bluegill, redear sunfish), crappie, sauger and catfish.  Several big,
blue catfish have been weighed in at over 80 pounds in guntersville.
