The fishing can be very good on Dauphin Island. Most of the fishing charters will take
off out of nearby Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, but we do have one fishing charter
listed for Dauphin Island. There are a couple of piers that offer fishing for a variety of
species. From April through early November, anglers report catches of speckled trout,
flounder, red fish, king mackerel, spanish mackerel, ling, and even some black tip
shark, sand shark, and hammerhead shark.
