Alabama offers some good crappie fishing in certain
    lakes throughout the state.  The most talked about
    lakes that hold some nice crappie are Weiss Lake
    and Lake Martin.  Millers Ferry Lake also offers some
    good crappie fishing.  Weiss Lake is considered by
    most anglers as the Crappie Capitol of the South.  
    There are plenty of crappie to catch and good
    anglers can fill the livewell with many crappie in the 10
    to 14 inch range.  It is not uncommon to catch crappie
    in the 15 to 18 inch range on Weiss Lake.
