The weather, as it has for the past few weeks, continues to confound the fishing locally. • Thanks to all of the high water, no one has been fishing the Beaver River this week, according to Bob Bernhardy of Shooter’s Place in Bridgewater. • Lack of safe ice has also stalled the fishing at Brady’s Run Lake. • The fishing has been up and down at Lake Erie. The steelhead streams are all but frozen over again, as is Presque Isle Bay, but the ice there is not necessarily thick enough to support fishing.
