Radios have been a part of fishing for years.  There
are portable radios, 2-way radios, and permanent
radios for the boat.  They are now available with GPS
so you can also use them for navigation as well.  When
selecting radios, you need to check the range of the
radios.  Depending on where you like to go fishing, a
range of a few extra miles could help save your life.  If
you are fishing in places where it would be beneficial to
have a 14 mile range instead of an 8 mile range, then
spend the extra money and get the right radio for your
situation.
