Lizards have become a very popular soft-plastic bait.
They are a little bulkier than a typical plastic worm.
Because they are heavier, lizards can fished easier without
a weight.  They are also more visible because of their size.
Lizards are a great spring-time bait, however, you can
catch bass on lizards from spring through fall.  The added
action from its 4 legs drives bass crazy.

How To Use Lizards
Lizards can be used in a number of ways.  It is made to fish
slow, just like fishing a plastic worm.  You can fish the lizard
without a weight in shallow water, with a carolina rig or
texas rig in deeper water, on a jighead if you are flipping
around docks or other cover, a drop-shot rig, or even just
a small split shot about 12 inches ahead of the bait.
Flipping a lizard into a spawning bed in the spring works
wonders.

Where To Use Lizards
You can use lizards in deep water or shallow water.  Just
make sure you are around cover.  It takes some time to
thoroughly fish an area with a lizard, so don't use it as a
search bait.  Once you are on fish, pull out the lizard and
fish more the entire area slowly.

Types of Fish Caught on Lizards
Most anglers use lizards to catch bass.  Some fishermen
have had some success using lizards for pike, however,
when using lizards you will catch bass most often.

Problems With Using Lizards
The main problem anglers have with using lizards is not
having enough patience.  If you are not patient enough to
work this lure slowly, you are not going to have as much
success as you should have.  Some anglers also like to
use the lizard to search for bass.  Find the bass first, then
slow down with the lizard.  You will have more success.
