| Dodgers and Flashers: Dodgers and flashers are used to when trolling to attract salmon and trout to the fly that is attached to the end of the line. When trout feed, their silver bodies will send out a flash and dodgers and flashers will actually mimic that flash. This helps draw attention to the area as salmon and trout will want to investigate so they don't miss out on a meal. Some dodgers and flashers are completely different colors than salmon and trout, but the flashers still seem to draw curious fish into the area and hopefully, they decide to strike the trolling fly at the end of your line. |
