Bobbers / Floats:  Bobbers, or floats, are made to keep
your bait suspended at a certain depth and also to give
you a visual aid for when you get a bite.  Bobbers are
used for live bait the majority of the time, but there are
some circumstances where you can work a small jig
under a bobber and catch some nice crappie and other
panfish.  Bobbers float on top of the water so you can
easily see them.  If there is wind or current, your bobber
will float towards the current moving your bait along with
it.  There are a few different types of bobbers on the
market.  There are round bobbers that will move and
then go under when you have a bite.  Another type of
bobber is the stick bobber, that lays flat on the water.  As
soon as you have a bite, the bobber pops straight up,
then goes under.  This is more noticeable when you are
watching for a bite.  There are also glow in the dark
bobbers for night fishing and slip bobbers.  Slip bobbers
are set up to fish deeper water.  A rubber stop is put up
the line at the desired depth you want your bobber to
stop.  You cast the bait out and the bait drops to the
bottom with the line slipping through the bobber.  Once it
reaches the rubber stop, the line stops and you are at
the depth that you want to fish.
