Lure Colors That Are Best For Walleye
There are some colors that seem to work better for me when I’m fishing for walleye in dark water versus clear water situations. For darker water, brighter colors such as green, yellow, orange and chartreuse tend to work best. This goes for crankbaits, spinner rigs, soft plastics and even more importantly….on your jigheads. Yes, the color of your jighead is important.
In clearer water, natural colors tend to work better for walleye. White, grey, silver, silver and blue or silver and green all do a good job of resembling a bait fish.
