Swimbaits for Bass
Swimbaits have caused quite a stir in the bass fishing world over the past 5 years or so. California bass anglers have known about swimbaits for years, but there have been many fishing tournaments on television that have taught the entire country how good swimbaits can be.
Some of the original swimbaits were big and they were made to imitate trout because stocked trout make up most of a big bass’ food source in California lakes.
The past 5 years or so has brought an emergence of swimbaits of all different colors and sizes to help imitate many other types of bait fish. The result has been a boom in the bass fishing industry for swimbaits.
Fish them slow, fast, along the surface, just under the surface, in deep water or shallow water. Just make sure you’re fishing these baits on bodies of water that have big bass. Swimbaits are proven baits for catching big bass.
