Shark fishing can be extremely exciting in Key West.  There are many species of shark that can be caught in shallow water.  We’re talking about water 10 feet deep or less, which means you get to sight fish for sharks at times.  Sharks can also be found in deeper water as well.

Alive or dead, sharks will eat just about anything.  The more blood the better when it comes to shark fishing.  A good chum slick will help draw them into your boat.  Then go ahead and present your bait and hold on.

Some of the sharks caught here are blacktip sharks, bonnet head sharks, bull sharks, hammerhead sharks, lemon sharks, spinner sharks and nurse sharks.
