<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 13pt"><font face="Times New Roman">Last week the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) announced the beginning of its annual stockings of surplus broodstock Atlantic salmon. In the first of several stockings, DEP&#8217;s Inland Fisheries Division will be releasing 420 salmon into the <st1:placename w:st="on">Shetucket</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">River</st1:placetype> and the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Naugatuck</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">River</st1:placetype></st1:place> this week (Oct. 6-9). An additional 80 salmon will be released into <st1:city w:st="on">Crystal Lake</st1:city> (Ellington) and <st1:placename w:st="on">Mashapaug</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Lake</st1:placetype> (<st1:place w:st="on">Union</st1:place>). <o:p></o:p></font></span></p>
