Fishing Trip to Door County

I spent the weekend in Door County fishing a couple of miles out of Sister Harbor. The plan was to target smallmouth bass. Between me and my camera man, we boated 17 smallmouth bass over Saturday and Sunday. (We fished about 10 total hours over those 2 days) We had some real high winds on Friday, so we called it quits after a couple of hours of battling the big waves. We didn’t boat any bass on Friday, but we used those couple of hours to find some of the spots that we would come back and fish when the winds died down.
Here are some pictures of some of the bass that were caught. Lots of 2.5 - 3.5 pound bass with one 4 pound smallmouth. Video of the trip will be online in the next day or two. (I stayed at Birchwood Lodge in Sister Bay, Wisconsin.
New Lakes - 3-11-09 (Adams County, WI)
We are adding a lake finder section to our website. This will continue to be updated over the upcoming 2009 fishing season. We will update our fishing blog when we update another new county in a state.
Today, we added Adams County Lakes that can be found in our Wisconsin Lake Finder section.
February 2009 Updates
This website is continuing to grow as a resource for fishermen. We currently just added a fishing tips blog that anglers can actually send us information to get their tips posted on our website.
We also added a fishing pictures blog and a fishing tournaments blog. Website visitors can send us emails and we will post their fishing tournaments and their fishing pictures to share with our fishing community.
MySpace Fishing
I have officially started to promote www.ultimatefishingsite.net through MySpace.com. It’s a great way to stay up to date with what’s going on with our website as well as to network with other fishermen and fishing-related businesses.
In the future, I would like to start offering promotional contests that are only available to friends of our on MySpace. This kind of stuff won’t get rolling until later this year (2009), but it is in my plans.
