My Pike Fishing Video | Lake Geneva, WI

Lake Geneva Pike

I took the new bass boat to Lake Geneva the other day and I decided to target smallmouth bass and northern pike — one problem though.  I had trolling motor issues, so I ended up going after northern pike instead by drifting perch from 18 to 35 feet of water around the points just out of Williams Bay.

It can be a challenge to catch fish out of this lake with all of the pleasure boaters and fishing pressure, but it makes it even harder when you can’t use the trolling motor to stay in the depths that you want to fish.

I spent lots of time drifting over the correct areas, then firing up the engine to move back to the same area for another drift.

It was all worth it when I got one good bite from a pike.  I love this lake.  It’s a trophy fishery and one of the most beautiful lakes around.

As this website continues to progress, I should be able to put some pretty cool videos together to help you plan your next fishing vacation.  In the fall of 2009, I will start planning more trips to add to this collection.

Go ahead and check out my Recommended Fishing Trips.

Shark Fishing From The Beach

I came across this video online and it was pretty cool.  It reminds me of my brother who enjoys shark fishing from the beaches on his annual trip to the Caribbean.  In the video, you will see a couple of guys working as a team to get the bait in the correct spot, fighting the fish and releasing the fish.  It will make you think twice about swimming in the ocean.  These guys are in Australia, which makes me feel a little better about my yearly trips down to the Florida beaches.

Take a look below and enjoy.

I spent some time this morning watching some of the videos on www.myoutdoortv.com and I found a great video from Captain Joe Ward with some helpful tips for catching live bait.  He uses a few different methods such as traps, sabiki rigs and a cast net.  It’s a pretty short clip.  Take a look.

Sebastian, Florida Snook Fishing Video

I have been hanging out at www.myoutdoortv.com, which has got to be the best video website for fishermen.  The website has a ton of fishing videos online from Babe Winkleman to some start-up shows.  I am going to start blogging about some of the videos that I enjoyed and I will tie them into our featured fishing destinations throughout the country.

The video below shows some Snook fishing in Sebastian, Florida.  The hosts get a young angler into some decent snook.  Check out the video below and the links to our Sebastian, Florida business directory.
