Salmo Sting Review - Salmo Lures

“Trigger more strikes? Well, no other long body minnow bait does it like the Sting. Testing shows that in the suspending models, actually suspend! We are talking about not changing depth AT ALL once it gets to a certain depth. How is it done? It’s a trade secret from the Salmo lure designers, but nothing like it has ever been created! Most suspending baits drift up or down within seconds of stopping, the Sting just does not move.
Also available in floating models, the Sting is easy to fish and works amazingly well as a twitch bait on the surface or as a high speed trolling lure. This is one versatile and effective Salmo lure. Bass, Walleye, trout, pike and dozens of saltwater fish have fallen victim to the Sting of Salmo.” From Salmo Lures
Our Review: Dependable crankbaits that just catch fish. You can catch largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike and walleye on these lures. They will cover depths of 2 to about 12 feet deep depending on the size and if you are casting or trolling.

Salmo Chubby Darter Review - Salmo Lures
“It is hard to believe a lure that has only been sold for six years can become a classic, but the Chubby Darter has become a “must have” among ice fisherman. The unique action of the Chubby Darter is primarily for vertical fishing where the bait quivers and darts as the angler pulls upward on the rod tip. Trout, perch, crappie, walleye and pike all fall for the Chubby Darter.“
Our Review: We like ‘em. (especially the perch color) Many anglers don’t like to fish vertical over deep water, but they are really missing out. Use your electronics to find some deep water structure where fish are located, then drop this lure down to the bottom and start jigging it up and then let it fall. Repeat the process until you’ve reached your limit. A good lure for catching crappie, especially slab crappie, perch, white bass, yellow bass, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, pike and trout.

Salmo Bullhead Review - Salmo Lures

“You would think everyone would have a Bullhead or Goby imitation, but they don’t! Too bad, because Salmo knows that fish just love to eat them. Smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleye and trout eagerly grab the Salmo Bullhead. The unique, flat head design and shape gives the Bullhead a great wobble action for such a small profile bait. Available in floating and sinking models as well as Super Deep Runners. The only secret here is to get the Bullhead of choice down to the fish”
Our Review: Solid crankbait. Salmo Lures says that they have a good goby imitation and we have to agree. The bullhead and sparkle bullhead do resemble a goby, although we would rather fish vertical with soft plastics when we’re trying to imitate gobies, crankbaits are a nice option as well. A good lure for largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike and walleye.

Salmo Hornet Review - Salmo Lures

“It might not look it, but this little crankbait is totally revolutionary. Made from high density foam, not flimsy balsa wood or hollow plastic. The Hornet is a super durable crankbait that will catch you hundreds of fish without falling apart. The Hornet’s rod shaking action triggers fish like walleye, crappie, bass and trout. Ideal for trolling and casting with great success. By far, the Salmo Hornet is the best multi-species fish catcher you’ll ever own.” From Salmo Lures
Our Review: Definitely up there with the rapala crankbaits. Some anglers even think this is a better crankbait. We’ll leave that up to you to decide. It’s a very good crankbait, especially, the perch color. Very good color selection also. This crankbait will catch walleye, bass and northern pike.

Shrimp Tease Review - Creme Lures

“This beautiful Shrimp contains brilliant holographic coloration molded inside the body camouflaging the weight while attracting Reds and Specs. The protruding eyes and lifelike antennae add to the realness of this lure. The Shrimp Tease duplicates a panicked shrimp when he sees a predator fish. This tail swimming action causes the lure to dart backwards just like live shrimp. The realistic jointed legs vibrate with an authenticity never seen in a plastic shrimp. Approx. 3″ “ From Creme Lures
Our Review: Some excellent colors, a perfect size for catching large numbers of fish and the swimming tail provides some extra action to generate a strike. Anything that eats 3″ shrimp will be tempted to eat this lure.

Killer Diller Shrimp Review - Creme Lures

“This shrimp is an excellent combination of soft plastic flexibility and durability. The belly is hollow with an opening that contains weight. The embedded single hook allows the lure to dart like a scared shrimp. Everything about the lure is authentic. The Killer Diller is available in 2 sizes (approximately) 4″ with 1/2 oz weight and 3.5″ with 1/4 oz weight.” From Creme Lures
Our Review: Great soft plastic shrimp bait. Good selection of colors and sizes are perfect for most inshore fish that like to eat shrimp.

Jerk N’ Shrimp Review - Creme Lures

Hard Plastic Shrimp. Approx. size 3 1/2″.
Our Review: Good color selection. Nice bait for aggressive fish. The Jerk N’ Shrimp features a series of weights and counterweights which allows the bait to sink horizontally. This makes it seem more realistic. Can be effective fished behind a popping cork as well.

Devil’s Tongue Review- Saltwater - Creme Lures
“Injected with pure air, floats most hooks! Hand poured.” From Creme Lures
Our Review: Because it will float most hooks, it looks great on a hook rigged for carolina rigging or drop shotting. Good fresh water and salt water lure, although, we like it a lot more for fresh water fishing. Largemouth and smallmouth bass love it.
