Summer is over. The kids have gone back to school. Memories of warm, wastrel days on the sand are fading along with the tan.  But wait, fall is here. And for those in the know, it’s a great time to go to the beach. The kids are back in school, which means the crowds are gone, so you have the beach to yourself. And with the crowds gone, you are more likely to find a bargain in lodging.  

“Fall is a great time to visit the area, which is transitioning from a fast-paced summer to a more relaxed fall season,” said Herb Malone, president/CEO of the Alabama Gulf Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau.
